Smart Pic Pressure and Temperature Monitor enables the monitoring of intracranial pressure and temperature using HpPic catheters. HpMip interface module is not required. It reports the intracranial temperature and pressure values along with a curve. It generates alarms when the limits of physiological values are exceeded, and also stores the values for record and trend responses.

The Smart Pic Monitor must be used only with Hpbio Intracranial Catheters, which is the part applied to the patient, and must be interconnected by the ICP Catheter Extension Cable.

    COMPATIBLE CATHETERS

    1 - PARENCHYMAL/SUBDURAL CATHETER:
      Made of flexible polyurethane tube, it allows subcutaneous tunneling without risk of rupture.Like all hpbio catheters, it is marked every centimeter to guide the introduction depth.

    2 - VENTRICULAR CATHETER:
      Made of medical grade silicone, features specific lumen for liquor drainage allowing attachment to an external ventricular drainage system during the monitoring procedure. The catheter flexibility allows subcutaneous tunneling without risks of rupture.

    3 - CATHETER FOR HEMORRHAGIC CASES:
      Manufactured from medical-grade silicone, it features a drainage lumen with a 175% larger area*, allowing the drainage of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) with hemorrhagic content into the EVD system.
      To facilitate introduction and fixation via subcutaneous tunneling or bolt, the drainage catheter is implanted without the pressure sensor.
      The sensor will be introduced through the Y-connector after the completion of the surgery and advanced to the distal tip of the catheter.

    * When compared to a standard ventricular catheter (ø 3.0 x 1.6 mm).
